Here is my fleet list. It is ultimately built for power & flexibility but keep in mind that not all ships will be fielded at the same time with the exception of major fleet engagements. ;)

PRINZ REGENT (Emperor class Battleship)

CONQUEROR (Mars class Battlecruiser)

GOLIATH (Overlord class Battlecruiser)

MAJESTIC (Overlord class Battlecruiser)

SIGREIST, MONARCH, CAPERNICUS (Lunar class Cruisers)

SOVEREIGN (Dominator class Cruiser)

IMPERATOR (Dictator class Cruiser)

DUKE WILHELM II (Gothic class Cruiser)

VICTORY, VALIANT, SAVIOUR, TRIUMPH (Dauntless class Light Cruisers)

12 Sword class Frigates (two squadrons assigned to battleship protection)

6 Rapier class Frigates (aka Firedagger Frigates from the Book of Nemesis but I thought Firedagger sounds crap - squadroned with Swords)

10 Falchion Frigates (two squadrons)

6 Firestorm Frigates (assigned to co-ordinate with Light Cruisers)

12 Cobra class Destroyers (three squadrons)

4 Cobra class Destroyers (24th Destroyer Squadron "Widowmakers")

Various miscellaneous elements of Black Templars Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, the Ordo Xenos or Ordo Malleus of the Emperor's Inquisition & taskforce elements of the Adeptus Mechanicus - as a campaign may (or may not) permit.

impressive fleet. are they all painted and table ready?

if so id love to see a pic or two.

since you mentioned campaines i have a question for you.

If you were to take your whole fleet as single vessles and subdivide them into taskforces around 500 pts (going over to get a working task force is ok as long as its not a huge overage).

Im forming a campain that is based on this, some battles are ment for one or more taskforces. The map im using has the potential for allowing you to outflank if your not carful.

Again, you have a impessive fleet list. and welcome aboard.

Thanks. ;D

No pics yet I'm affraid, most of the fleet is still in dry-dock. :(

500pt Task Forces are great fun! Quick & exciting.
Generally a task force consists of mainly escorts with 1-2 cruisers.
So for my list an example would be:

IMPERATOR
VALIANT
1 Sword Squadron
2 Cobra Squadrons

This type of taskforce is ideal for fighting rear actions or key insertions behind enemy lines. The Imperator is a carrier with enough of a broadside to see off another capital ship. Try to avoid anything with a nova cannon as this is a fleet-support weapon & useless in fast-paced action such as this. The Valiant is a Light Cruiser and its speed & maneuverability suit it for this role. You can generally take any mix of escorts but I favour Cobras for their speed and Swords for their defensive capabilities.

All you really need is some common sense & a rich sense of theme to your campaign narrative. 8-)
