Okay, after some advice I moved over here from TO. I have a chunk of Eldar models, but I'll be adding and changing some things in the fleet based upon my new experiences and the like. Currently, this is my 2000 pt list I'm aspiring to make. HQ squadron 1 400 pts Eclipse (Pirate Prince + 2 re-rolls) 250 pts Eclipse HQ squadron 2 210 pts Shadow Escort Squadron 1 265 pts X5 Nightshades Aconite Escort Squadron 2 265 pts X5 Nightshades Aconite Escort Squadron 3 200 pts X5 Hemlock Escort Squadron 4 200 pts X5 Hemlock Escort Squadron 5 200 pts X5 Hemlock It's for a campaign we're doing, but I don't have most of the fleet. I currently have 1200 pts or so, but not all of that will be in the end fleet (most notably the Hellebore frigates). Though I absolutely love Eldar lances, when I revealed my list that I wanted to play my buddies thought it was cheesy (Void Stalker + PP with 3 re-rolls and then 25 Hemlocks + 10 Night Shades for back up) Another list I've been toying with is this one, which meets with much less fearful ness than my "dream" list. HQ squadron 1 400 pts Eclipse (Pirate Prince + 2 re-rolls) 250 pts Eclipse Escort Squadron 1 265 pts X5 Nightshades Aconite Escort Squadron 2 265 pts X5 Nightshades Aconite Escort Squadron 3 265 pts X5 Nightshades Aconite Escort Squadron 4 225 pts X4 Nightshades Aconite Escort Squadron 5 160 pts X4 Hemlock Escort Squadron 6 160 pts X4 Hemlock

Lol I can almost hear the groans your buddies made when they saw your list. Your second list is going heavy on torpedos. Nothing says reach out and touch some one like high explosives.
you have a good mix of all the main weapon systems so your able to threaten effectivly. With so many torpedos you also have the option of forcing your opponents to turn to evade in directions that you want thus helping set traps. I hope your leadership is good on the torpedo squads thats a lot of reload rolls.
I do have one suggestion for you to play with. all the eldar escorts are really compatable with each other. and when mixed are a real formidable pack. 2 Hemlock 3 night shade 1 aconite Ive use this squad to devestating effect, 10 battery fire, 2 pulsar lance and 6 torpedo effective. I dont have the points total atm but close to the cost of a eclips with slightly better survivability and cant be crippled. ( the survivability is the escorts item in the gunnery table.)
Have you had your first game with it yet? and when you do post, copy and paste it on this site and on TO. Im looking forward to hearing how your games are going.
