Im finaly sitting down and typing out what has happned so far and ext ext. Ill keep up with it as the campaign goes on. its a 4 month campaign with 1 campaign turn per monday
The Kleberg system:
A one star system containing about 9 solid planets of various sizes, Several of which have hive spires on them a few with some manufactorums and 4 space ports and one large asteroid.
(Ill get a picture of the board. the planets are made out of the planetary empires hexagons. The planets are anywhere from 3-8 tiles with the acception being the asteroid 1 tile.
-=Combatants=-
Imperials:
Salamanders Space marines
Salamanders Fleet
Blood angles
Space wolves
Imperial fists
2xImperial guard
Imperial fleet
Chaos:
Black legion
Death guard
Word bearers
chaos fleet, including such ships as the planet killer D: and terminus est
Necrons:
Deciver with Some bone colored Necrons
Night bringer- havent seen any of the crons here
Tau:
Farsight enclave
Orks:
Waggh ??/??
There are clearly two groups of orks They have been seen fighting amongst eachother on several occasions. Thier clans are as of this point un Identified. Once information has been gathered It will be filed.
The way things work:
Each campaign turn the commanders of the factions get together and roll to see who goes first. They then Command thier troops to do what they want. If there are other people on the team they will obey the commands or if they think Something isisnt right they can turn against them.
To move from planet to planet you need to have a fleet, Lacking one you will have to take 2 campaign turns to build an IPS Or inter planetary ship. Ships move 6 inches on the solar system board each campaign turn. If a fleet with a capital ship comes into contact with an IPS no BFG game will be played, the tiny vessel is destroyed outwright. If a model dies in a game at the end of the game roll for them on a 1-2 they die 3-6 they are still alive but have fallen back to another tile. If they died in space on board a ship they are very very dead no matter what. Named characters may only be used once Ie. if they die they are gone for good. no force may have 2 of the same named character. If you dont controll a space port, manufactorum, and a generator then your troops come in from out of system. If you purchase a ship then thats what they will come in. Otherwise They will enter the system in an IPS through one of the warp gates. The warp gates: There are 6 warp gates (I think) One near the sun. one in the middle of the long table edges and one on each short edge and one near the sun.
Once I get ahold of my folder Ill type up all the rules for people to read =P
Turn one:
The chaos fleet came through the portal near the sun. Tau landed on an empty planet with a manufactorum and a power plant. Necrons appeared on the imperial capital planet and other necrons appeared on a planet with a space port. Orks crashed on the same planet and also on another planet.( this will make a whole lot more sence once ive taken a picture of the d**n thing. Lol) The salamander fleet moved to help get rid of the orks on the planet there was no necrons on. The orks attacked the space marines(Imperial fists) at the space port on the planet there was necrons on. A large portion of the Imperial fleet attacked the chaos fleet That turned out to be just about dubble the size of the imperial one. After a very quick battle between the two sides the Imperials managed something of a victory. They knocked out 3 cruisers and some escorts while only loosing 4 escorts.
The chaos fleet moved up towards a planet and the imperials ships limped to the capital planet for repairs.
Turn two:
The Necrons bone colored necrons attacked the orks who had been repeled by the space marines. (This is where we had some troubble. Apparently these orks had encountered these particular necrons previously in some other system. The guy controlling those particular orks was not a very good team player. He refused to play the necrons because the one time he did play them he was annhilated. So after a big buncha bull nuts The Campaign director teleported the orks on the other planet over too him to keep the game going and the other guy played against the necrons while the troublle maker fell back. I watched that game So I Guess Ill tell ya what happned. It was 3K of orks VS the deciever. with a necron gun line back at the long table edge. It was dawn of war annhilation. The deciever started at the half way point and the orks didint put anyone out. 3 deffcoptas moved up shot and assulted The deciever killed 2 of them and the third one ran off the board. the lootas shot up some destroyers and all the boys moved up some. The next turn the deciever attacked some kans and destroyed them. thats just about when all the boys stoped moving. exept to try and assult the deciever who by the end of the game lost all but one wound =P
A battle wagon moved up and as soon as it got in range of a monolith the blast destoryed it. A bunch of knobs rushed out at the necron lord and some flayed ones. After some rolls there was just the knobs albiet reduced. and then the game ended. the orks fell back and the necrons stayed there. The deciever ended up destroying the defcoptas and 2 squads of kans along with a buncha boys.
Due to this the salamander fleet picked up the Space wolves that were on the planet they were originally heading towards and made a new course for the planet all the orks were now on. The tau expanded. One more turn and they will have the whole planet, but will be spread thin. and with no space port their re-inforcements will come in through an IPS. Chaos moved closer to the planet they were headed for. Blood angles hoped on some of the imperial fleet nerest to the tau and plotted a course for them.
Turn three:
Moved closer towards the orks. The imperial fists struck this time with some 3 thunder fire cannons and 2 vindicators. The orks didint stand a chance. Thier reduced numbers fell back. Chaos moved closer to thier planet. Ba moved. Salamanders moved. Necrons. Turns out there was a fleet next to the imperial planet and they beamed the necrons off and moved towards an uninhabeted planet.
Turn 4:
Chaos Salamanders and blood angles moved (Space is big!) bone colored necrons ship came in and they teleported off of the planet with the orks and onto their ship (which came in through the warp gate near the imperial capital planet and the dead one.) and made way for the same planet as the other necrons. A toomb world perhpas? Reports from the imperial commander says there are actually troops on the planet currently. We will see how long they can hold out against the necron menace. Same to our brothers up at the planet chaos is headed towards
Turn 5:
Planet fall! The salamanders made it to the planet the orks are on (that the necrons recently moved off of) and dropped 2000 pts of salamanders and 2500 pts of Space wolves to reinfoce the Imperial fists. The orks fled from the on slaught leaving a rearguard of 500 pts to tie us up.(if the imperial commander had attacked with us in space differently we would have pinciered them so they wouldnt have been able to fall back without playing a game first.) anyway they left a 30 boy squad and 2 meck boys behind and we annhilated that in one turn of shooting. (he ended up loosing just 9 boys =P) Rolling on the veterain chart for Dreadnought "Torren the Dastardly" made him ignore shaken results (he is a siege dreadnought) The orks Are planning on jumping planet. With this having happned We have been ordered to Pick up the imperial fists and go strike the plaent chaos is about to land on. Tau have sucked up all thier forces to one tile in preperation for the blood angles who are one turn away. Thier IPS came out near the sun and they are attempting to head between the planet im on and the planet chaos is about to land on and shoot for a smaller planet that they can settle down and start a new colony.
Night bringers necrons are 1 turn away from landing while the bone colored ones are 2 turns away. We will see what happens next!
Further turns will be posted as they happen.
